ACG Fuse WTF story.
I was out with my girlfriend showing her what my new Boosted EG D16 head/ D15 Block could do. Needless to say I missed a shift and over reved ALOT going into third. Then the tach and all the gauges fell to zero and we coasted to a stop. I tryed to start it a hundred times the motor cranked fine but no dice. My dad ended up towing me home. Got home did compression check like 10 times got 209,209,209,209 every time. I did this cause I thaught I floated a bunch of valves and that was makin it not start. Went to work and did some research on H-T the next day.
I read some threads about the ACG not the AGC style fuse which no one really knows to much about. THe only info about it was that it controlls the fuel pump. When I got home I looked where the ACG fuse should be and guess what there was no fuse there or in the SRS fuse above it. I threw a 15 amp fuse in and the car started right up.
I looked all over the floor for the old fuse or a jumper that could have fell out. But found nothing.
Does anybody know what ACG stands for and how was it possible that the car ran before when there was apparently no fuse in there?
Sorry So Long THanks for the help

if the car was running before then there was a fuse there. becareful about puting in a higher amp fuse. what ever fuse was there was probably blown by a short. putting a higher amp, the short can't blow it, so what happens? it begins to burn **** right up, making a mess and your job harder.
as for this ACG fuse you speak of, i've never heard of it! anyone else?

It is the same amperage. As for the fuse being there b4 it was not there not on the floor I even checked in my shoes. No fuse No jumper. I also recall reading a thread saying that the EG is wired with and with out the SRS and that the mysterious ACG fuse had something to do with this. So it might not be that I am simply blind and cannot find the old fuse.
not sure what it stands for, but yeah, it's basically a fuse for the fuel pump. not sure what happened to it though. it had to be there though, because it wouldn't run without. it's in there somehwere.....hell, i'm still looking for the pin that held the clutch master to the pedal.....that ****** popped off into oblivion!
