I am in the process of dismantling a b16a2 and y21 box, I have undone all of the bolts on both the gearbox casing and also the casing that surrounds the flywheel.
I have about a half inch separatation now between the two casings but I can't seem to get them to come apart. I can't see any bolts left to undo! Are there any hidden bolts that I need to find?
Cheers Guys

There's more to seperating the trans than just removing the bolts...
There are two "detent" bolts on the side that have a spring and ball under them you must remove. There's also a bolt that holds the reverse idler shaft in place that you must remove, also on the side.
Then, remove the big cover on the end (has a 1/2" square drive end, just stick your rachet right on it), and pry apart the snap ring in there, while lifting up the case. That'll let the countershaft seperate from the housing, and you'll be able to get the case off.
