fuel injection cleaning...

fuel injection cleaning...
with a full tank of gas i put in this slick 50 fuel injection cleaning that says it's good for up to 18 gallons....
should of i put the whole thing in with my 12-13 gallon tank?
can it cause any damage if i did put too much?
