Yeah it's been a little over a year since I got my car and it has finally happened. They scratched the paint all the way to the metal. I'm so F*cking pissed! They tried to steal my front lip too, but I think someone spooked them and they left it hanging on the car. This all happened while I was at work. The sad thing is my office is in a very ritzy part of town. But I guess thieves are everywhere. Anyways just needed to vent. Anyone know where I can get some replacement oem emblems on the net?

 

my rear emblem was stolen a while ago and so was my front lip, thieves suck ***....

 

My front was attempted but they failed. The back was then jacked after awhile in front of my crib. I figured it was going to happen, but if they were going to take it they could have "at least steal it cleaner" they fucked up my paint and dented the hatch with there screwdriver. For the front where they failed chiped the emblem and nicked the paint. fawken thieves

 

It's not like you can't buy a red anywhere (cheap too). I guess some people don't like waiting 3 days for ups anymore. Go buy your own....fqn theives.

 

thats the beauty of thieves. they are so desperate they will even rip off the emblem for a quick 5 dollars.

 

Dont get it replace, if those thieves past by your car again or try to come back, it'll just be round 2, just get it bondled and shaved, including your acura embelm too.

 

The dealership told me it was going to cost $57 for the front emblem I figured I'd either get a cheap one off the net or just have the front shaved

 

Damn that's weak. I haven't had mine stolen off the R yet, :knocks on wood: but I have had the ones off my 92 CX stolen! Dumbass thieves.

 

Same thing happened to me a couple of weeks ago. They left screwdriver marks down to the metal. But now insurance is fixing the scratches along with getting the emblem holes shaved. But damn I'm still so pissed off!

 

honestly if I had an itr the first thing I would to would be to remove the red emblems. It's only a matter of time til you end up with some nice screw driver marks on your rear hatch or front bumper.

oh man, silver emblems are target. That sucks. One night, 10 Irvine cops (that's how it is in Irivne, 10 cops for the smallest of things) arrested two kids on my street. They were stealing emblems, and had a whole car full of indiglo emblems, and all the colored emblems etc. I guess they passed my car up cause I have a silver one.

 

Just replace them with regular Acura emblems. Go for the sleeper look...

This is going to sound really ghay, but I wish I had some "electric shocker" thing hooked up to my emblems. That way when they try to pry them off, they'll get a little jolt ~Z~A~P~. LOL. Alright, so i'm bored here at work! I watched too much Magyver (sp?) when I was little!

 

no man it's not ghay...I wish the same thing. Like in Britain I think it is they have these anti-carjacking system...that is basically a flame thrower underneath your doorsill. You just push a button and it toasts the f*ck out of them. It's awesome. I saw it on Discovery channel Anyways do any of you guys think it's worth it to report this to the insurance company? My deductable is freaking $250. I guess it's all about whether or not the paint a big portion of the trunk or just touch it up.

 

I think having the back shaved is nice and clean...looks good actually, but not the front. I like how the front looks w/ the emblem, but I also heard the front is a lot harder to take off then the rear...
