Default CTR lsd tranny fluid?

My S4C lsd tranny has a slight grind at higher rpms when shifting into 3rd. I'm going to change the fluid this weekend. Is there any specific fluid I need for an lsd trans? My 2 choices were either Honda MTF or GM/ pennzoil synchromesh. Any advice?

Also, if anyone could tell me the fluid capacity that'd be great too

Pick up two liters and you'll be good. GM syncromesh is great stuff, I've used it in all my manual vehicles.

The OEM fluid is good too.

Synchromesh isn't going to cure worn teeth on a synchro. It might be easier for worn teeth to cut through, but you still haven't addressed the issue correctly. I would use nothing else other then Honda MTF. If the grind is still there after a fluid change (which it most likely will be) then its time to change the synchro.

Alright. Well I plan on fixing it this winter but was hoping that changing the fluid would help a bit till then. I'll change it anyways. Thanks for the replies everyone

No, but I'd recommend Redline MTL.

Redline MTL likes to breakdown the plastic bearing cages, this leads to failure.

acura has their own version with synchromesh in it to help with the problems that the rsx's where having. I put it in my old da gsr that was starting to grind and it fixed it. Or at least quited it down a lot.
