RSX brought back to life...
I bought this car in early march. ive been looking for a project car for almost 6 months from then. i was looking for mainly s2000's. with little luck i decided to go more broad. looked at mustang GTs and even got into a bidding war and lost a porsche boxster. then this 04 rsx came up. with the little luck i was having with other cars i decided "why not?". so i pulled this thing up for about 5g.
thats what it looked like the day i brought it home.
this was after a hose down to get all that dirt off it.
s after a tear down i can see what i bought. the radiator support, radiator, condenser, the front right frame rail was smashed. that was all the major things. so i sent it out to have the frame pulled and some replaced and to have the part of the radiator support replaced.
i get it back and get it into a drivable condition. now i noticed the right control arm is bent. it was hit so hard the circle mount was now an oval and the subframe now wont accept a new control arm. so new subframe.
the old control arm is on the floor. if you can see the ball joint mount is twisted and the circle mount(i dont know the exact term) is now an oval
but now with everything said and done im proud to give you my basically finished rsx

all in all i think i may be around 9,500 or 10. it had 36000 miles when i got it. about 37,000 now
it wasnt too hard of a job. i learned alot along the way.it was alot of little things and the major money pit was the frame and sub frame.
my friends dad owns a shop and dose this kinda thing for almost like side money. so he was my insider and help find the car and with what to do about some of the problems. don't get me wrong here but there are some things on the car that he sort of got that didn't exactly work for my standards and stuff like that i would have saved around 400 or 500 dollars. this being my first time doing it and he was just helpin me out i dont think much of it.

im sure i could of just gotten a type-s. BUT that thing would have to of been well over 80,000 miles and cant forget the maintenance i would need to do and what not.
and then again there would be no pride. i can say yeah it may have little defects. but i built it. not many people can say that.

man urs is good condition and we got it for same money 5k exact ! but mine is type s so i guess evens out i dunno lol , well yeah ride cam out sick ! help meeee

thats great man. I would have converted it to the 05+ front end. I think they are nicer. But great job either way. Now get some springs or coilovers to eliminate that wheel gap and you got a beautiful ride!
