Book: How to design and build a mid-engine sports car, from scratch.
A lot of you have modified your Hondas for improved performance. Engine, suspension, interior, and the cars perform pretty well. But imagine how your car would handle and perform if it weighed half as much or even less. Imagine what you could do with a spare Honda drivetrain, the one sitting off in the corner of your garage. Imagine what that could do, installed mid-engine in a light-weight, tube frame chassis. Imagine no more.
Kimini: How to design and build a mid-engine sports car – from scratch, details exactly how to do just that. Starting with a list of goals, it works through the entire process of building your own car from scratch: goal definition, parts procurement, chassis and suspension design, chassis construction, composite work, and electrical. What you end up with is a two-seat, mid-engine sports car weighing less than 1600lbs. This is the same as dropping an engine with twice the horsepower into your existing car! Actually, it's even better than that, with half the weight, the car not only accelerates faster, but brakes and corners better, too.
With a dead-stock Honda drivetrain, expect to pull 4-second 0-60 times, and mid 12-second quarter mile times. Imagine how this car would handle at a trackday event. This book shows how to build a car just as fast - or faster - than an Ariel Atom, for about half the price.
Since many of you have a spare Honda drivetrain sitting around, you’re already halfway there to building an awesome street/track car. If you have a spare set of wheels and tires, you’re even better off. Kimini: How to design and build a mid-engine sports car – from scratch shows what to do with all those spare parts.
Imagine showing up to a trackday, and blowing away every other car. It’s possible, and it’s about time that more Honda-powered cars started kicking the butts of cars costing 5x as much – I did. Go to http://www.kimini.com/book_info/ to learn how you can, too.
I hope to see your Honda-based mid-engine sports car on-track someday.

That's the nature of the Interweb... All the links worked at one time, but the sites come and go. No, I don't have a link, though it seems like virtually all the shows end up on YouTube.
