Default Do i really need to?

I'am going to the track next friday and was wondering do i really need to put my stock wheels back on? right now i have the new volk racing gram lights 17x7 on yokohama parada's.....but if i put my stock si wheels back on with the stock tires will i get better times?

Yes you will have better 60ft times and 1/4 mile times, if you put the stock SI's on.

it the time it takes you to go the 1st 60ft of the track and yes, becuase the 17;s will wigh more and more rotational mass,will lower the mph also
just feather the clutch

but i have got the gram lights there only 15 lbs,do you think my stock wheels weigh more? and what kind of 60ft times do i want? on my first run my 60ft was 2.584 i know it's very bad

it depends on if you know how to launch or not . i only raced on street tires once with my R and i hit 2.2;s all day , that was the 1st time i raced the car.
you are still forgetting the diameter of the wheel . wieght makes a big diff, but the diameter does too . your stocks prob weigh about as much as your 17's do .
your 17;s arent really light wheels., they are light for 17inch wheels however.
know what im saying.

yeah i know what you are saying they are light for 17's but there not 8lbs or anything, so should i just use my stock si wheels with the stock tires? can i just change the fronts?

best to change em all prob, but the front will do . at least better than thwe 17s will . . .. .heres what to do , do one run with the 17s up front and one with the stocks up front, that wil answer your question ,. it will only take 5 min if that

ok thanks for all the help....if i just use the 17's should i drop the tire pressure?
and should i take out my back seat?

i would. you wont be ble to drop the presure that much , your prob already on 40 series.
