pulled one of my plugs to check wear - nothing but oil all over it.
Q- what does this mean ?
Is it the valve cover gasket that is bad ? the oil maybe seeping into
this spark plug hole/chamber?

 

its usualy your valve stem seals wich you can get without haveing to buy the set but your better of buying the set with the gromets valve stem seals and cover seals
and the second part no there shouldnt be oil in your CC cus the spark plug it self will hold the oil back unless its realy loose or its been like this for a while did you pull out the plug??

 

if it's raw oil,most likely it's being caused by valve cover gasket and/or o-rings..

 

 

so yeah best bet is to replace the valve cover gasket but make sure you get the whole set cus some places will sell you just the valve cover part and not the gromets or the spark plug seals AKA O-rings

 

just did mine the whole set w/ orings,seals,vc gasket was like $ 32 from advance auto parts,its cheap,easy, and solved the problem
