ITR Springs on 98 Civic EX
Thanks for the quick reply. What if the springs were only used with the oem civic shocks? Would there be a problem, or would I have to get itr shocks with itr lcas?
hmmm don't know. I never tried it. I tried CTR springs on stock ex shocks and that work, but not with ITR srpings. You should try it out and see what happens.

EF/DA and up civic integra springs are all interchangeable.

You can hardly notice the drop.

The ITR has proven handling. It also maintains a good ride quality and a very practical ride height. I love slamming cars, and all....but i mean ....you cant really beat an OEM honda performance suspension for all around awesomeness.
OP...with the ITR springs, the car will ride very nice and still handle well. Probably better than most overlowered coilover'd civics. Usually people either dont know how to set up coilovers, or they ruin their suspension in other ways. They either buy too stiff of a spring...just dont know how to tune dampers (its difficult), and they drop it too much. If you wanna just let honda do all the engineering for you...get the ITR springs...they can do amazing things.
The downside being that...they're only a subtle drop lol. So you wont have it in the "looks department".
Dont forget to clock your bushings.
Dont forget to get an alignment.

I'm going to have to point out that the ITR has proven handling not just because of it's springs. It also has shocks that are valved differently (ie, matched to those springs), front and rear sway bars, front and rear subframe braces, front upper tower bar, optional rear tower bar, and wider wheels than the stock Civic.
I think the shocks will run out of road, in a manner of speaking, before the ITR springs will, and then you've still got a Civic that handles like stock and understeers horribly.
Long Story Short: They won't make that much of a difference.

yeah, i agree that the ITR shocks are valved differently to match the springs. But the springs do play a huge role in handling. the ITR also has different sway bars.
The cure: A bigger rear bar for your EM1 and some CTR dampers. You still get a comfy ride and great handling.
They both come on 195-55-15V tires, though.
Not sure what you mean by "the shocks will run out of road before the ITR springs will".
