Default Problem with 3rd gear

Just the other day I noticed that at high rpm shifting I grind 3rd gear. Has anyone else had this problem? I'm thinking synchros, but want to verify.

Make sure your clutch is fully depressed.

grinding is often a bent shift fork and balmed on synchros. Could be either.

I've got the same problem, I make sure the clutch is fully pressed and always grind into third at high RPM's. If this is the synchros what is an estimated cost of repairing the problem. Thanks for the info...

I thinking warranty, because what do my mods have to do with the synchros? If not, It's a good excuse for a final drive.

dont you drag race your car on a regularly? thats an instant warranty-void right there, be a man and have it done on your own instead of cryin to the dealer.

If I'm using a DC short shifter Acura probally isn't gonna want to fix it under warrenty. I guess it's worth a try though.

Yeah, I drag it regularly, but I just want to make sure that's the reason for the problem. I thought I heard in the past of stock R's with synchro problems and want to see what the dealer has to say about it.

I was just told to use a thicker fluid, it might help.

I made sure it was pressed down all the way but I'll double check it today. Maybe my floormat was in the way, but I doubt it.

I am turning my car into the dealer this wednesday for that problem.
Do you drag? Or did it just happen out of nowhere?

I hear ya, it's not the cost of transmission parts that gets you. Getting to the damn things is where the pain in your *** comes from!

I just got mine done 2000 miles ago and I drive mine very soft and it still grinds but only when the tranny is heated up. it's daily driven I drive to 5000 rpms and shift. when I go to the track and my tranny heats up it grinds I was wondering if this could maybe be the fluid becuase I could let my car warm up I go drive and hit third and it wont grind but when I go to the track after a little while of running it grinds into third. I dont drag race either.
