Default hood gas shocks?

never used these or installed these things before. On my 93 lude and even on my 99 lude, it seems that the hood prop doesn't want to attach itself to the car anymore. These would be nice, but I wanted to see if anyone on here has had these on their lude or any of their cars actually. The fitment, and quality of the shocks are what I'm concerned about. I attached a link to their eBay item. Let me know what you guys think. I know a lot about ludes and so on and so forth, but these would be a nice addition.

if you don't like them, don't flame me.

It sounds like a good idea but I have seen some on other people's cars and they kinda jack the hood up a litttle bit. The ones that you are looking at might not but who knows? If not for jacking the hood up like the ones I have seen before I would get some myself, I think it would be nice not to have that stupid prop rod in the way everytime I opened my hood.

I would stick with stock, but my 93 lude has been painted, and a lot of body work done to it, and to be honest, I don't even think the hole is there anymore or anything at all really to mount my hood prop back in there. I misplaced it for years, then bought another one off here used, and man it just sucks cause I have to hold it up on my back each time I put oil in it.

in the 99 lude, it's already starting to come apart and I can pretty much wiggle it, and it will come out, so I don't trust it. This might be a nice alternative rather than trying to fabricate these back to stock.

that would really suck if that happened. Maybe someone knows of some that are of good quality and work specifically for the prelude/prelude hood?

Yea, ProjectLudeSiR has them.

I hope they work I've been planning on getting a set because I didn't have a Prop when I got my car... So hard to work on it with one.. Have to carry a freakin' stick or poll around with me... So rigged.
