Apparently, the search feature is broken, so no flaming please if it's been covered.

I have to re-plumb brake lines. Does anyone know if it really matters if I follow the factory route? It seems easier to just route them on top under the little lip next to the firewall and then secure it up there as opposed to going underneath.

Any ideas/opinions/suggestions?
