Life of subwoofers.

Life of subwoofers.
I kno a guy that has 2 JL w6s in a box witha a kenwood amp. He said he would give me all of it for $400. Its a good price but the subs are 3-4 years old. Do subs eventually wear out or jus die bcause there old?

Yes subs do go bad, Do you know how hard they have been beaten on? I would not buy 4 year old subs unless its a rare sub to have and that it works.
