Head work (vavle job, springs, retainers, valves, crack test, maybe a P&P)

Balance and polish the crank

Hot tank, hone, and possibly sleeve the block

ACL bearing kit

Just a few things. When it comes time I would invest in a aluminum dual or tri-core radiator.

yea man - especially if you're looking for 18psi reliably without detonation. gonna have to REALLY upgrade everything and do it right. its going to get very expensive but im sure as hell it will be worth if you're serious about it

18psi with what turbo?? you can run 25 psi with one of those small *** jetta turbo's and make a whopping 180whp.

I thought those Jetta turbos weren't efficient after like...15-17 psi?

Just like those little Mitsu turbos like 14b and 15g

Exactly.

How many times does this topic REALLY need to be covered? Its all about power NOT psi!
