Default Exhaust Fitment Question

hey guys. I am coming over from the Volkswagen forums because I am a dubber at heart, but I will always be a gearhead so I can respect anyone who loves their car and has a passion for modifying it tastefully to make it something unique.

Now with that said, my friend just acquired a 96 accord V6 sedan. I was talking to him about his first mods and I recommended that he get a catback exhaust because I can install it for him and it will give it a nice exhaust note as well as making the car more fun to drive. I have a magnaflow catback on my 1.8T jetta and it sounds amazing so I recommended that he look into magnaflow as well for his accord. I recommended getting this exhaust from hottexhaust.com

http://www.hottexhaust.com/det...15686

Now my question is will this exhaust bolt on directly to his V6 sedan? I haven't called hottexhaust yet because I figured you guys would be able to tell me better than some sales rep. The description says it is only for 2.2L accords, but I think his V6 is a 2.6L.

If this exhaust won't fit then where can I find a nice sounding exhaust that WILL bolt directly up to his V6? Fart cannon style mufflers need not apply.

I would say that it wouldn't bolt up to the same exhaust as it is a V6 and not a 4 banger, this i would imagine that the pipe would be larger. Maybe find the stock Accord pipe size and get a magnaflow for that size

Well in my generation of VW all the models of jettas regardless of engine size have the exact same catbacks. The only difference would be the difference in downpipes or headers leading up to the cat depending on which engine you have.
