Default Headers on the S2K?

Anyone running headers on their s2000? If so, what type? 4-2-1 or 4-1 and why?

v-6's and v-8's have headers.... one for each bank.....

there are only a couple headers that make any power for the s2k....and this is still negligable....

J's
Berk Technologies

change the final drive gear ratio..... best bang for the buck mod

I would agree with 4-2-1. Faster off the line correct?

My friend has a meganracing(sp?) header and full greddy exhuast. It is very loud when it goes into vtec, but the power increase (in his opinion and my opinion) is not really noticeable.

I'm starting to like the J's Racing Header, based on what I've read from their website...

"J's Racing spent over 2 years to develop this header which can bring the maximum power output from the F20C and F22C engines. Most of the conventional headers use 42.7mm or 45mm piping but J's Racing found that the F20C & F22C engines will perform much better with 50mm"

all wrong.

first of all, spending money on a header is esentially pointless on an s2000 because the only ones that will give you gains, are like 1/3 the cost of a good turbo.

so why just not go boost?

that being said, Hytech makes the absolute best headers, no questions asked.

after that J's and Toda

then comptech and mugen

then **** below all that.

since when can you buy a quality turbo kit for 3 grand.....

And there is no way that would come with any kind of engine mgmt....

because to boost a s2k properly requires at least 8 grand.....

I was unaware that Hytech made a header for the s2k.....

the only one worth it in that group is the J's

the rest are crap.....jdm bling

and for the price of the J's the Berk is 1/2 the price with similar gains....

money that could be spent on another mod or dyno time....

personally, i would spend the money on a fd and flywheel.....

I was referring the cost of a good turbo, not the kit.

and what makes you think you wouldn't need a tune on a n/a setup? A proper N/A setup will cost as much if not more than a good turbo setup

The greddy kit goes for $3800 if you look around. And that comes with the Emanage.

speak for experience, man.. not what he said, she said...

so what about those people that just wanna stay N/A, you going to recommend them turbo set-up cuz it makes more power?

so why buy similar design as J's when you can get the real thing? its like bashing on rotas cuz its replica... i simply dont get it.. lol ... now its ok to get the similar design cuz its less money.. HAHAH.. and plus j's is titanium ...

J's is by far the best header in the market.. im not saying it cuz i had one, but its been proven.. im not saying other brands can get the same gain on HP, but the quality of the header itself.. just like comparing rotas and volks...

now argue with me..
