Check the alternator belt tension, and that electrical grounds are good.

i've checked the belt..and tested the connections according to the haynes manual..everything falls in spec..the weird thing is the car started to idle funny after this happened...i put a mulitmeter on the battery to check the voltage..everytime the engine's idle goes up then comes down..the voltage will drop like .2 volts everytime and gets lower and lower..

have you checked the fuses and the single battery cable that goes into fuse box make sure it is tight and not damaged and the fuses are not also. the fuse that is 80 is for the battery so check that and replace.

you might need new battery connections. double check alternator wires as well.
also, on hondas the battery light is very sensitive. even though the battery might be putting out the might amount of volts, you might be low on cranking amps.
this will trigger a battery indication light.
