Exhaust that doesn't look like a fart cannon
I'll be needing a new exhaust setup if I want to pass the next state inspection (October). The previous owner had to replace the exhaust system twice on this car (1993 accord lx coupe) twice in 7 years, due to rust. The salty roads of NH take a toll on exhaust systems, so I want to go stainless this time and just get it done. I know it costs more, but if it means I can keep it on for a while, It's worth it.
When I look at exhaust systems out there that are full stainless, they all have huge tips that look ridiculous IMO. If this car was a muscle car with a v8, I'd say okay. For a little 4 cylinder honda, I just don't think it's appropriate.
Does anybody know where I can find a relatively normal looking exhaust system that is stainless steel? The other thing is that it can't sound like a chain saw. Thanks

Where in NH are you? I live in NH aswell.
Try eBay for a stainless stell NORMAL looking and sounding exhaust. Someone, somewhere has to make them. I have a stainless steel exhaust, but its a cannon.

well, I don't think OEM is stainless. 5G_Vtec, I like in Dover. That's 10 or so miles north of Portsmouth.
When I look at these cannon exhausts, it looks like they make it so the 2" ID piping or whatever flares outward to the 4" barrel end. Perhaps I could cut off the 4" section, machine it flat, and weld on a piece of stainless tube that looks a little more natural for my car.
I worked in a machine shop for a year and a half, so I have extensive experience with machine tools, and I still have access to all I would need.

What about just getting piping from Kteller then putting your choice of muffler on there? Isn't the WS2 muffler stainless just not the pipe? What about like that muffler with the Kteller piping? Thats probably the route I'd go. My Invidia is all stainless but it has a large canister style muffler so you wouldn't like it.
Are any of the RSR or Tanabe or those exhaust stainless steel? I'm not sure if they are or not as the WS2 is the only one I've really looked at. Maybe someone else can chime in on this.
