Default ECU location/Chip Recommendation

Another newbie question if you dont mind.
1991 Civic DX Auto 1.5
Where is the ECU located and what chip is recommended to wring a few more ponies out of this little engine?
Not looking for a supercar (have two of those already) just a little quicker grocery getter.
TIA.

Default Re: ECU location/Chip Recommendation (Wuffer)

ECU is under the carpet in the passenger's side footwell. Chipping it will do next to nothing for you, especially with an auto tranny.

Simple bolt-ons (intake, exhaust, header, cat) will give you some more pep, albeit only maybe a few HP.
