People dont hate ebay, they just hate the stuff that are replicas and copies. Most no branded **** on ebay is garbage. I defintaly wouldnt use some bs like that in my engine.

People were selling fake TEIN stuff on ebay but claiming it was TEIN. See why I don't use ebay?

Thank you.
ok but back to my initial question...do i need something like this for turbo? ive not heard of a sleeve saver or block guard being used? and what is it used for?
I would leave the stock sleeves as they are or have the engine sleeved.
It is mainly to keep the sleeves in place under high load like a closed deck design would do. Personally, I have seen plenty of power made on stock sleeves without a block guard, so I think they are unnecessary.
If you are set on the blockguard, I would first buy something from a reputable company. Then, you have to install the blockguard correctly. This doesn't involve beating it into place with a hammer while the engine is still in the car. You have to have it fitted, welded in, and the cylinder bores checked for any out-of-round that may have occurred while installation.
