yea i drive a 96 Ek hatch....i was wondering if there's anything special to be done to paint the hatch door black? Help me out honda-tech....i know that i would have to sand the clear coat off...but if i primer it black, will that give it a better chance to rust if i do that black primer?

wow 15 views and nobody can help so far? Is it a bad thing to do it this way or what?

Try the paint and body forum.

Your question isn't very specific though. If you're trying to paint a door of a different color to match your car (or just repainting for that matter, I can't tell), you should sand the entire thing down, fill in any rough spots, then primer, base, clear.
