Default S2000 Transmission & Rear dif oils

Just wondering what oils you guys are running in your transmissions and rear ends and what you find works better etc. About to change the oil in my tranny cause im noticing 3rd has a tiny notch unless the clutch is on the floor.

Any help is appreciated

Thanks

John

I used Honda MTF in the transmission and Amsoil 75w90 in the diff.

i changed my trans and diff fluids at 36k for the first time, and i used the new honda mtf and the cheap diff fluid that honda had in stock, i since then drove 15k without any problems.

redline mt90 in the tranny and redline 75w90 in the diff... really not too pleased with the mt90.

it's probably something to with honda using 10w30 weight instead of 75w90 like everyone else in the world.

yeah...the viscosity difference is huge

GMSMFM in the trans

m1 75 90 in the diff

the gm stuff is ten times better than oem mtf, new or old version, been there, tried it and not looking forward to buy it again.

i think your confused.

yes, honda's mtf can be used in all honda MT's.

the deal with dealers putting in the wrong DIFF fluid is that some have used the gear oil thats for the cr-v. thats probably what happened to yours.
