Default Question about oem side skirts and bumper.. Please help! Prelude Sh

Ok just bought a 97 prelude sh.. Awesome car, only 51k miles.. I love everything about it...Here goes:

The gentleman who had it before me was 88yrs old and bought it new.. The last year of his life when he was in the nursing home his 17yr old son put a bodykit on it (side skirts, front and rear bumper).. He put all of them on with zipties and rivets.. It looked horrendous.. I took the front bumper, rear bumper and side skirts off.. With that taken off, the car looked 100 times better.. Now i'm in need of a stock front bumper, sideskirts and rear bumper.. I purchased a used rear bumper from a wrecking yard and it did not come with the stock ground effects on it, someone took them off.. I called the dealer and they want $310 for the rear bumper ground effects and another $300 for the side skirts since the SH model had color coated ones..

What I am asking is... To save some money can I put the NON SH black side skirts on my SH car and will they fit? Also can I put the rear non sh bumper black ground effects on and will those fit? I have located these non sh parts an hour away and wanted to know if anyone on here knows if these will work? Any help would be greatly appreciated.. Thanks!!

Also if anyone is looking for a bodykit thats in decent shape (red in color), I will let it go cheap... It's just taking up space here and I have no need for it... Let me know

if you're gonna be spending that much on stock stuff, just pick up an OEM optional kit

Well I can get the oem non sh side skirts and bumper for $150.. A good oem style bodykit is $400+ and shipping.. A big savings and I wouldnt have to get it painted if I just got the non sh ones that are black...

yes, you could put the black sides and rear on your SH. and then when you have the money, you could always take it to a shop and have them painted to match, to return it back to the SH look.

Are you guys 100% sure because I was told that they would not work by a salvage yard.. 1 yard said it would and the other said it wouldnt.... I hate to buy it and not be able to return it if it doesnt fit.. I'm thinking it would fit but you never know..

yes they will fit, i work for a honda dealerhship. The price is worth it for the kit. Contact your closest dealership, ask them to source you a kit from out west. The dealership will sell at cost plus shipping hopefully for ya and you will have left over. THe kit is 100% worth it.
