Default Transmission Worries

Hello,

I bought a certified used 2003 4cyl auto-trans accord coupe about 2 months ago. The car had 54k miles on it when I bought it....and now it has about 57k.

I started doing the usual maintenance on the car, oil, air filter, etc. Today I was going to change the transmission fluid....but I was unable to get the drain bolt off after a lot of effort....using socket extensions....using a hammer etc.

But I did check the transmission fluid and it seems to be off color....its kind of a light tan/pink color....below are 2 pics....can anyone tell me if this is a sign of larger AT problems? The fluid had a distinct smell to it.....but I cant say it smelled "burnt"

it looks fine, isn't that covered under warranty? no clue honestly, but also you couldn't remove the trany pan? not sure with this one but most you empty by pulling the pan.

Are you using a breaker bar to loosen the the drain bolt? If you don't have a breaker bar, then attach something like a pipe to the ratchet and try.

An old mechanics trick for hard to loosen nuts or bolts, is to tighten it a little, then try loosening it after that.

Your pictures don't show up; but, light tan/pink color transmission oil is probably okay.

Yeah, the car is under warranty. I've confirmed with a couple people that the trans-fluid seems to be an ok color. If there was a problem I wanted to catch it while the car is still under warranty.

I will buy a breaker bar.....we'll see how that goes.

I dont believe you drain the pan on this model.....I was told to drain it from this bolt.
