Default little help

i checked the search and everything is leading me to the auto tensioner but i wanted to run the symptoms by u guys and see if anything else needs to be done.

first off, im not getting an CEL, no miss, no erratic idle, just this sound like a plastic bag is going crazy under the hood. no sounds at idle, only at 2500 prms and up. i pulled the valve cover, no wear on the cams or rockers, however the timing belt seemed kinda loose. i pulled the timing belt upper cover to see what the belt was doing at idle and it flaps around just a little, and the more you rev, the belt flaps around more and more. its not making contact with nothing yet, but im not gonna chance it. sound like the auto tensioner is going out? thanks guys

you should do the manual tensioner conversion anyways... leaving the auto-tensioner on there is inviting it to fail and take out your valves. but yeah, i have the manual tensioner and i still get that slight whirring sound when i get up in the RPMs.
