Default rim compatibility help

Hey, so i got into an accident and bent one of my rims. i have a set of 17x7.5 rims. I also found a deal for a pair of rims that are 17x8. I figure that the deal on the pair of rims is a better value that getting a replacement for my bent rim. Will I have problems with 17x8 rims in front and 17x7.5 rims in the back? I'm not sure on the offsets right now since the seller hasn't responded with that detail. Also, will 205/45/17 tires fit on the 17x8 rims? Please help, thanks everyone.

BTW, rims are going on a 00 civic sedan.

In my experience, with the same tire size, the wider wheel will usually lose traction most aburptly, so there's a possibility you'll spin your car. 205/45/17 on 8" is kinda pushing it.

That's the wrong tire size for your car. The proper 17" tire size for a '00 Civic is 205/40-17. And you're better off with 17x7.5 than 17x8.
