power help
i have exhaust intake and headers on my 96 ex and i was wondering how much power i would get out of the skunk2 intake manifold and throttle body, and how are their cams... could i just get the bigger throttle body and use the y8 manifold i want more power but i want to be all motor without a motor swap....

Don't bother with bolt-ons for your stock motor.
They won't help. You're just wasting money.
Boost or stock with that motor.
EDIT:
You could just get a larger TB and bolt it to your stock IM but that's just what ricers do and won't actually help you unless the IM is port matched.
The sudden "lip" of the IM creates turbulence and can LOWER your power.
ITR TB + port match IM = win...but like I said before, you're not gonna gain much w/ bolt-ons on a stock D16Y8.

Any of the above. You're not the first ricer to come in here asking how to make his stock D16 take down ITR's.
If you really wanna go for it your best bet is some A6 pistons. Other than that you're pretty **** outta luck unless you wanna go all out w/ a bisimoto header 'n such.

D16's dont respond well to normal bolt ons IMO...I agree with homeboy up top...if you want to get any respectable power out of that motor, you should go forced induction...

Take it easy, big words might confuse him.
Forced induction = Turbo or Supercharger.

10....15hp, possibly 25 or 30 - depending on the aggressiveness of the new cam....after dyno tuning with a customized base map. Since you're using an OBD-II you'll have to use a OBD-II to OBD-I jumper harness if you wanna run a chipped OBD-I ECU or an OBD-I Hondata.
So you figure, 200 for the ECU, 100 for the harness, 200 for the cam, 200 for the dyno tune...200 for the manifold, maybe another 100 for the TB...then maybe another 50 if it's not port matched.
So you figure $1050 dollars for POSSIBLY 30HP...
Hrm.
Might wanna think that one over.
Of course you can just do it the half assed way and slap the IM on there but you won't see 20whp - maybe like 3-6. Still not worth the ~$300 IMO. And you're obviously not the brightest if you plan on running the skunk2 cam untuned.
EDIT:
PS: Funny, when you call "all of us" (me) dumbasses while you're the retard who didn't search. Like I said before, you're not the first useless ricer to come in here asking how to push more power outta their POS stock D series w/ bolt-ons.
Search next time.

so just build it to their specs and you should be set, also your ex is about the heaviest civic you can get this will effect your ITR raping

also I believe skunk2 has dyno graphs of their cams on their website
