just a question

does anyone else have a problem with their A/C controls 1-2 not working? 3-4 work great it's just those two

if anyone else, do you know what it could be?

sounds like your blower motor resistor is bad. does the heat work on 1 or 2? if not then its deffinitly your blower motor resistor thats gone bad. best bet is to grab one from a wreckers.
