car slowed down almost a second in 1/4

Default car slowed down almost a second in 1/4

i poped my head gasket at the track, took it home and changed it. the car ran a 15.5 with b16 in 91 si crx before changing the gasket and after it ran a 16.3! I cant figure it out, any imput would help.

you poped a head gasket on a stock b16?

did you check the head and deck surface for straight ness? or find the reason why the gasket blew in the first place

cheacked the deck and its straight but i couldnt find anything wrong with the gasket, and the cams are in time

60' on first run was a 2.37 and second was a 2.52, mph was 90.2 on first run and 85.07 on second

You only made two passes and your worried about it? Go back to the track and do a few more runs then compare....

none, before the car went across the finish line at like 8100 in 3rd and after it only goes across at 7700 in 3rd

one cam is out of time.......if you doubt me take pics to prove me wrong.

Higher 60' = BOGGED due to the wrong cam timing. Normally a botched 60' = higher trap speed

not if you bog down...thats a common occurance when you spin out of the hole...i agree with the cam timing thing though...only makes sense.
