WTB: manual D16 transmission and related parts
Id like to find an exact match to the year, and Id rather not engage in rebuilding. Do you have anything else related to the transmission? Thanks for the reply, Ill look you up if I change my mind.
my friend just swapped out his d16 w/ a b18 so hes got that think just laying around. email him at adizon@sfsu.edu. tell him calvin referred you.

Thanks for the replies all. Im pooling my resources right now, and Ill probably make a decision within 3 weeks. ceemarun, I did email your friend as well, thanks for the reference. One key factor here is location, I am in the midwest, so being somewhat nearby would help me alot on shipping charges.
Still shopping around, I have a few offers already, but I may be interested in more than one tranny, plus there are plenty of related parts I will need. Heck, if you have an entire d16y8 engine/tranny, I may scoop that up as well.
Just to clarify, since the thread title may have been misleading. I am only interested in D16Y8 engine/transmission and parts, preferably from a 2000
Ive gotten some responses, but I am still interested. I may be looking to pick up more than one tranny and an engine.
I am located in Chicago IL, so if you are anywhere within a few hours drive, I will pick up the parts, saving us both the hassle of shipping. I have two possible sources now, but looking for more, I may want multiple trannies.
OK OK, sorry, I can take a hint.
I just want to get as much exposure as possible, and these classifieds move so fast, you almost have to keep doing this just to make the thread visible.
Anyway, I want as seamless and trouble free an install as possible, and Im not sure a 95 tranny is going to work on my d16y8....at least not as simple as another 00 tranny. Thank you for the reply, I do appreciate it.
