i was going to try this filter...heard good things about it. But currently using HKS SPF filter and works better IMO than the K&N filter but for the price of the apexi power intake, and HKS SPF filters i still think that K&N is far superior for its price. Personally I would stick with K&N. It works.

I red it is a good quality piece and that's way so expensive besides being Apex i.
I think we R owners are more into IceBoxes and CAIs than getting hot air from the engine compartment with that type of filter.
Although, me wonders, would that work fine in a CAI setup??

You aren't really sucking in hot air while you're actually up to driving speeds.

You got a point there but, definitely the temperature from outside the engine compartment is lower than the temperature inside the engine compartment. Even at driving speeds...you always prefer the lower temperature.

But the question is...the tubing for a CAI is much longer than a short ram...short ram obviously has the advantage of throttle response.

Back in the day, someone was talking about doing a thermocouple test with various intake setups, to truly measure intake charge temps... Did it ever happen?

Pat, who wonders if underhood temps matter that much with turblows

No complaints, other than the fact that it whistles.

I would just get a K&N or Comptech stock replacement and keep the stock arm and box.
