Help Identifying Part (CAI Install)
I have a 1995 Accord Ex that I'm installing a cold air intake on and i was wondering what a certain part is and if it can be taken out. It seems like it has to come out to make the intake fit in there so the hood will close but it has some wires running into it so i want to make sure before i create some sort of problem.
The part was attached to the intake by a hose and it is right next to the battery.
there the part is on the left and the battery is on the right.

Thanks in advance

Hey there! Ummm you can take out those things. It is called the intake resonator. As for the connector, I just covered it with saran wrap. So far no CEL. As for the vaccumm line, plug it with something. Some people use a golf tee.
Yeah like The-Kid said, you can take those out. I mean, if you don't then theres no possible way to fit the intake in there properly and the hood won't close. But unlike The-Kid, I never covered anything or plugged up the vaccum line. I just the my AEM SRI right in. The only problem I get sometimes is my idle jumps up and down constantly for about a minute.
Well I just copy what it says from the K&N install, the AEM install, and Injen install of my intake. 2 of them just plug up their vaccumm lines. They give you a cap.
