i got a brand new pair of gt3's from a buddy. they were red and never used.. i sprayed black duplicolor wheel paint on them with out scuffing them up and i put three coats of clearcoat on them... will they chip, shud i have scuffed them with sum 400 grit sandpaper or a scotch pad

 

i belive there is a theard on this but yeah you should have scuffed/cleaned them first it helps the paint stick better when appling it and primer them before paint it just makes it that much better but if you did a good job dont worry about chipping just dont drive in gravel/dirt very fast
