I am running 22x8x13 M&H DOT slicks. I was wondering how much wheel gap I need to leave for the slicks to expand or stand up as I got thru the trap. I want to give my car somewhat of a rake, but I dont know how much to leave.

 

i run mine about 2"s on 24.5x9x13

 

22" tires are very small... that thing would have to be crushed to hit

 

I have a two finger wheel gap and get no rub. There is MILD touching in braking after the traps and that's it.

Becareful with that, I had some mild rub when braking also then on one of the passes when it rubbed it managed to pull one of the inner fender tabs down from the fender and sliced my slick all the way around. Trust me it's a pretty sickening feeling when you pull back into the pits to see that and think back that you were just don't 130+ mph...
