EG6 Civic 92-95 hand brake and shifter lock (anyone ever seen this)

I personally have no faith in any kind of locking bar device because I've seen too many of them broken laying in the gutter in a pile of glass. They're great as a visual deterrent and can save you a broken window when they ward off the low level thieves. But there is basically no single device or strategy that can be counted on to protect your car.
Successful car security relies on layers of devices and strategies.
For the cost, I'd much rather have a motion/proximity sensor act as my deterrent. But if I had money to spend a little more loosely than I have now, I might endure the inconvenience of a Club-like device.
There's no reason to have this same type of thread every time The Club comes in a new shade.
BTW is that device only compatible with the Civic Type R? *sarcasm (EG6)
