no more meets there i guess. well im pretty sure anyway thet this year would be that last year bwcause of the way it turned out

 

Thats sucks such a good spot. Is there any plans for a new location for the bike and car shows in that area?

 

dont they always say that **** every year?? But how did it end up?? being a nice big show?

yea it wasn't too bad of a turnout at all, but of course there had to be bad apples that had to be show-offy and spoil all the fun for everyone else by being asshats.

now what's all this about marcus shutting down...is this BS or for real?

 

It was in like 4 newspapers.

 

I heard that theres still gonna be a Marcus Dairy there a newer version but I guess it will be alot smaller.

 

yeah and it will completely ruin the history behind the place...marcus dairy has been there forever...i honestly dont understand how they go out of business its always packed when its open...especially on weekends w motorcycle rallys, etc...

 

Yea there is alot of history and that cant be replaced seems like they always have to ruin a good thing.

 

Too bad they are tearing it down. It is probably a sound move for the owners though.

There would not have been another marcus meet anyways, which is too bad.

So its at your house next spring?

 

For the select few, I would do a BBQ / Party. My driveway is long enough, could fit 20-30 cars.

That's provided my house is looking nicer.

I'll post more info later, I hope to be launching my own car enthusiast website soon... just a little thing to have fun at.

 

boooooooooooo .....whoever puts this show on need to put it on again but in a new location! i went this year for the first time and it was the best show i have been too ever. the turnout was OK. but with the amount of CLEAN cars i was amazed. this meet cannot and will not DIE!

sad to hear. i always looked foward to marcus as kind of a beginning of the summer make sure my car is ready event...

if something else comes up, maybe smaller in scale id be more than happy to come down, even if its like meeting up in a restaurant lot and people going in to eat

 

so there will not be a marcus dairy meet in 2008 at all? i know obviously it wont be at marcus dairy but possible new location. somone take charge and start something. there are a lot more people that would enjoy having a nice meet than people that enjoy burning out, racing and all that stupid ****. i say from now on if it happens at any meet just kick there ***!


me and a few buddies try throwing a meet every year in upstate NY but never a really good turnout. probably around 50-75 cars average throughout the 3 years we have tried. and there will be a meet this year too! hopefully bigger and better!
