97 door actuator help.
So im tired of hearing the lock everyone time i lock or unluck or even turn my car own. i took it out and i ordered a new one and i got it in the mail today. Here the thing. I took everything apart and i goto put the new one back in but i cant get the white latch attached to the car onto the the white piece that the motor used to lock the door. Here are some pictures, if it helps. And a few extras of my car.

This is what i need to connect to the white latch which is connected to the door.disregard what im pointing to, thats for a write up im doing, but the piece above my finger is what im talking about

The little white piece, on the the side you cant see has a little nub that needs to be connected to the piece on the motor, this picture is with the door handle pulled down.

this is just another picture, but with the handle at rest.

While i had my camera out, why not take a few more?

Remove this one philip brass screw, and then black plastic latch protector.

It will make it easier to install the actuator motor onto the latch. Just jiggle the motor up and down in the area it suppose to be install at, till you feel it hook up. Then reinstall the 3 small philips machine screws to mount the actuator motor to the latch assembly.
Then reinstall the black plastic latch protector with the Philips screw, and all your other stuff.

ok, sounds too good to be true! it just seemed like the white latch was so far back i couldnt get the actuator motor latch to get back that far. ill try that though, i almost want to do it right now.
thanks for your help!
thanks for your help!
The little notch it attaches to is very close, it just that the door is narrow, so you can't see everything. Here is a picture of a whole latch/actuator unit that I replaced. I have also replaced the motor only on the other door. You can see the notch in this picture; but, may not depending on the position of it in your car. Even if you don't see it, just jiggle it up and down till you feel it hook on.
That is EXACTLY what i needed... after I figured it out. i was trying to push it behind the bottom piece like the elbow of that portion. anyways i did figure it out and i cant explain how much better it is to get in my car and not hear that lock.
I took a bunch of pictures of replacing this, inside the actuator incase its just a simple black rubber that needs to be replaced etc. I started the write up today while i was waiting for the part, so ill probably finish that this weekend.
Thanks for the help, that will also help for when i replace my regulator on the same door.

I had the same problem, and I repaired mine in about 1 1/2 hr of work for free.
