clutch break-in
I was wondering if it is really necessary to break in a stock clutch? specifically, a 96 disk and pressure plate in my 89 tranny. I've driven it about 400 kilometres... not sure what that is in miles, but do you guys think that's enough? i was gonna go for 500, and my brother is going for 1000 kilometres with his ACT, but I can't wait that long... thoughts?
YES, you absolutely have to break in an organic disc. Especially since you plan on beating on it afterwards. Most say 500 miles, which is fine as long as you dont try being slick and counting highway miles
