i found a 2004 yzf600r w/ 2000mi localy for 1800$. it has a salvage title though. it was mostly cosmetic damage and everything was repaired.

the few questions i have are, what kind of hassel would it be to register this bike? it hasnt been registered since it was salvaged.
and is this a good first bike? ive ride a dirtbike now and plan on taking the msf course.

WRT registering a salvage-titled vehicle, it'd be best to check your state's DMV website to find out for certain.

A good riding mentality is a better gauge than the engine size of the motorcycle. Respect the throttle and you will do fine.

As for this 600R, I'd be worried that it's a 2004 going for so cheap.

I avoid salvaged titles at all costs. Spend a little more on a better bike that won't let you down unless you find a salvaged title that you know the entire history of.
