fixed lots, but wants to stall 89 Civic DX Help....
Sorry everyone, put it in the wrong column should have been under the Civic
But if anyone has any ideas, fly at it...
The car started to stall again. Replaced the fuel pump, filter, main relay and a blown alternator/solenoid fuse. Was going good for two weeks and it is acting up again. Oh and the distributor and igniter was also replaced. Starts, just wants to stall again.

peel back the passenger side carpet and turn on the key, check for flash codes.
I think there was a SB about the ground at the TPS, something like adding in a splice to ground it on the intake manifold.

It's a Civic DX 4 door sedan 1.5 litre or 1500. Automatic with approx 160,000 miles on it. Owned by a little old lady - literally. My motherinlaw had it and only ever changed the oil in it.
What is the TPS? I am a woman and learning, plus passing this on to hubby. If all else fails I will call a mechanic and sound like I know something by repeating what you say. Nah, not dumb....can find my way around a car...
Just not a Honda, give me a big bronco with a 4 barrell Holly carb and I can tweak..I drive a chevy now.
will take the web sites down and do some looking up. So splitting the wire and grounding it may solve the problem. If the electrical is out, that would explain the blown fuse. It had to blow from some power problem. Shorting out out?.

Thanks for telling me what the tps is. Makes it a lot easier to find when you know what those initials stand for. Will get out my Chiltons. Check the wiring and see if if it is grounded.
Will let you know later this weekend, what happenss.
Sure love finding this site.
