i can get some black 15" rota slips for $525 used but in good condition or some 16" new ones for $800. wouldnt mind spending the extra if it'll look a lot better. ive been photoshop-ing a ton of pics, but still dont have a really good idea. what you guys think? 15s arent too bad are they?

 

for the slips i would go 16"...the 15's look kinda "babyish"..just imo

 

I went with 16" rims and I am very happy with them..it seems to be a good comprimise. 15" is too small 17" seems too big- 16" was perfect for me!

 

i think 16" rims look nice on a lowered teg.. its a nice compromise between looks and speed as their not as big and heavy as a 17" wheel would be. and not 15" like your stock wheels... but its your car so its really up to you.. 15" rims and 205/50/15 Potenza S-03's would be nice = )..

 

15" isn't bad at all. but i would go with 16"s. a better compromise between looks/performance.

I say go with 16's also. 15's don't look as good as 16's and 17's do look too big and will most likely slow you down. The 16's will also let you run lower profile tires and that will make the car feel a little more responsive and less mushy compared to 15's also.

I think 15s look fine, a nice looking wheel is nice nomatter what the size. However, that is a damn expensive price for Rotas.

15" rotas look really good on eg hb's....but when you throw another set of 15s on a teg, it looks whak especially if your going w/ a thinner tire wall. Go w/ 16's, your car would look clean, and people will know thats aftermarket not stock!

 

yup.. go with 16s. the 15in slips look like 14s on integs.

 

16's.. only go with 15's if you want stay with stock rims (ex: different version GSR rims, SI rims.. etc)

 

would 215/40/16 tires fit a teg with 16x7 wheels, or would i need 16x7.5 wheels?

go with the 16's i actually just picked them up from a shop today. 16" rota black slipstreams, they look really good. Only thing though is i would shop around more though for a better price i got mine for 500. 800 is too much for you to spend, and these are brand new too, work the deal

i thought that he was only talking about the rims because i know some places are selling just rims that much because they are quote un-quote "popular" now among import cars, just rims though, i got street slicks -nitto- with them, all combined for 900

I don't drag race, so I might be wrong, but I would do exactly the opposite. Use 15's for drag, since you want light as hell and you don't need stiff sidewalls. I would use 16's for track since you do get better response and handling with lower sidewalls. And generally, you can put on more rubber with a larger wheel. But 17's, in general, start to get too big for a low torque Integra. The extra tire you can put on and lower sidewall is offset by the weight of the wheel/tire combo.

 

I say that if your car is already lowered then go with 16s.
If your car is still at stock height, then go with 15s.

Why you asked ?
16s and stock suspension combo will make your car look like 4x4 truck.

Oh and I agree with ealier post about bigger sidewall equates to mushy ride.

 

i think you got the sizes mixed up. anyway, if youre gettin black rims...i noticed that smaller black rims dont look that bad(blends in with the tires) ..i had 14s on last week...and it didnt really look that bad at all...but i disliked having my 15" gsr rims..they just looked small as hell. now i have on 15" SIs powdercoated in black...and they look good. if you dont drag race tho i would get 16s..if you do then 15s.

I was writing another idea and erased, and forgot to erase the drag racing comment.

What I meant was that this forum is more Show oriented than the RoadRace forum.

 

16 is the way to go i just recently got the rota slipstreams in 16's and it looks good .. also almost everyone likes the rims and wants to get it around my town ... 16 is the best bet and the price for 800 does that come with tires ?? cause i got mine for 500 w/o tires ...
