There's really no "best" rim from Japan. It's a very circumstantial notion. It all depends on what you're using them for.

Now, as far as rarity, there's plenty of rare wheels out there. There's no telling what's truly the rarest, since no one person will know all of the production counts, and how well they fared over the years. But, I've got a few of the less common wheels out there.

PS. I'm waiting for eg6sir-s to come in and post about his pictures and how you shouldn't use them.

this guy

i have the best rims..come to my house and storage to see them all.... just kidding

'best' would be an opinion. as far as i know the 'best' in my
mind would be my rarest find. not the 'best' looking wheel or the
most sought after....i guess i just wanted the wheel for the hunt.
it took me almost 1.5 years to finally acquire.

with the help/support of matt, regie, sean, rhett, hieu, kiyo i finally got them.

speed star racing mclaren w. full covers, caps and keys production date: 1986-1987

(without covers/caps)

very very rare. if i would a call a rim 'rare' then this will be it..my old friend told me that these wheels were ssr's answer to the mugen cf48 wheel back in the 80's..the sticker on my 5 lug set says 12/1987 on the side of the wheel

MF10's and CP-R's. I wouldn't say they're all that rare, due to how common they are on Japanese auctions, but they're nice rims.

honestly, we get plenty of wheels here now so who cares what's rare or whatever? i mean, it's not everyday that we see these wheels on a car so yes, all of them are rare to the normal person viewing our vehicles/wheels.

te37..one of the best selling wheels of all time and still going strong

how's that
