the door on my car is done for and i am just gonna replace the whole thing in a month or so but my problem is the sensor is reading the door as not shut even though it is and if i drive down the road it beeps like crazy, i need to know how to make it stop, i was thinking that i had to disconnect the power from it but i don't know where or how? any help would be much appreciated

 

Wrap some electrical tape around the little piece that contacts the door and see how far it is off. Basically with the tape it will cut the sensor off like it is closed. You can remove the door jam sensor at the inside of the door at the back but then the wire will drop into the car and will be VERY hard to fish back out.

 

i have the same problem except my sensor is stuck as if the door is always closed so i get no light....

not nearly as annoying as the problem you have...
