question about 225/50/15 BFG's
my last two sets of drag radials have been 205/50/15 bfg's. im thinking about going to a 225/50/15 this time and was wondering if there will be rubbing issues with a 40mm offset.. because arent these tires like almost 2" taller than stock? and the 205/50's are about 1" taller?
im on a pic performance susp. and right now i have the height at about fingers width between tire and fender.
has anyone tried the new MT et street's? the 225/50/15 ones? theyre alot more expensive so ill probably just stay with the BFG's.
anyone have pics of hondas with 225/50/15's ? ive searched and couldnt find any.. thanks.

Assuming you have a '93 Civic Si, here's how the outer diameter of those sizes compares to stock:
185/60-14: 22.74 inches
205/50-15: 23.07 inches (+1.5 percent)
225/50-15: 23.86 inches (+4.9 percent)
I don't know the answers to your other questions. If you don't get answers here, you might try asking in the drag racing forum.
(I know one consideration with larger tires on the dragstrip is that they change your "effective gearing". This could help if it saves you a shift in the quarter mile, but otherwise, they generally make your acceleration slower.)

I actually just posted in another forum about a friend of mine who runs 225 BFG drag radials on the front of his 410 whp EG. They seem to fit theyre just wide as hell. I dont believe he has had the fenders rolled or any other body modifications. However, i dont think he runs an offset... could be wrong it just hasnt come up. He's a member on H-T... Bryan, you there???
