ive heard that its not good to knife edge and lighten your crank since your going turbo...the weight of the crank helps the turbo stay spooled because of momentum..

I'm going to spend ~ $3,000 (could be less) on my turbo setup, not including brake, suspension, etc stuff. But I'm just 19 years old and don't need to worry about saving up to buy a house yet.

sounds kinda like my LS-V setup with 9:1 compression and all with a 35r.....lookin to make over 500whp, watch for the build thread soon with dyno charts!
and yeah the whole knife edging your crank and lightening it and this that and the other thing are more beneficial for N/A setups...also i'd keep the GSR crank if you haven't already bought the type r like was said before.
