it will depend on the shop you go to, but even if you pay $1000 at a GOOD maaco you'll get a MUCH better paint job at a good mom and pop's store for $1600

yes,i had mine done there 6 months ago.its not a 4 grand paint job but its not crappy either.if you were to do all your own body work(assuming you do good bodywork)it will turn out o.k.i got the supreme paint job and deluxe prep.so far no peeling or fading(my car is red and exposed to florida sun)if it fades in the first 2 years they will repaint it for free.if you are super picky or want a show car you will need to pay more and go to a custom shop to be happy.i have had 2 show cars and got burned out on constant detailing/waxing and worrying.as long as it looks just average im good with it now...
