Intake & Vaccum Line Problem
So I just bought a 93 si lude, h23. There is a huge problem however. It appears that they bought some sort of ebay CA intake, but there is a vaccum line that leaves the vaccum pump and goes no where. They have it plugged with a screw and there are no extra nipples on the intake itself that I can hook this line up to. Any ideas on what to do?
It seems to be making the prelude idle high - or it jumps from around 1000 or so rpm, to around 1900-2100rpm, and then stays idleing high at about 1500 untill it goes into gear. I have no idea.
Any input would be appreciated. Thanks.

Depending on where the vacuum hose actually originates and ends it could have a variety of different functions. If its a CA-Intake that's been fitted, and the resonator has been removed, the chances are that its simply the vacuum hose that connects to the vacuum solenoid that was on the resonator (controls amount of air thats availible to the engine through the factory plumbing). TO be sure you need to be specific as to where the vacuum line starts and were the end is with the screw, ie. does it start at the vacuum booster near the intake manifold (if it does the chances of it having an effect on ur idle is bigger), or is it closer to your battery (in which case it shouldn't have much of an impact on your idle)?
ludes dont use a vacuum pump. You have vacuum tank under the IM to open the IABs, thats it though.
So you are concerned about what ? If there is a screw in the old vacuum line thats just a ghetto way some ppl block them off so you dont have vacuum leak instead of capping it.
However your condition does sound like a vacuum leak somewhere.Check all the vacuum hoses i guess to start.
