new girl needs some help with prelude carbs and de-vaccing
i bought an 86 prelude about 6 weeks ago, drove it from indiana to memphis and to work for a week until the carbs went south on me...the float(s) stuck so i removed the carbs to fix them...
as you probably know, there are a million vac lines related to smog, etc...i was hoping to eliminate all the vac lines so i plug'd them all and the open vac ports on the intake (hopefully, all of them)
problem is, now the car won't run unless it's choked all the way...opening the choke kills the car
any help with setting it up without all the vac stuff from the black vac box will be appreciated...i've been trying to get it back on the road for a month now and don't know what to do

holy crap thats old school, before my time for sure.. I dont think to many people here no how to troubleshoot these old preludes..
After looking at all those vac lines, i think i'd consider converting to Fuel Injection before trying to make heads or tails of those lines.
Did those cars have CELs? If so is it throwing any codes.. hell i dont even know if they had computers, my guess is not..
Good luck

if im not mistaken 86's dont get CEL's cuz theres no ECU right? which is why theyre smog exempt..
