hi i was just wondering in my crew there is a guy with a stock 98 gs r and i have a stock 96 gsr and his car pulls so much faster then mine. i cant even keep pu with a gs eclipse. 2 probelms we've found. sensor in distributor is fucked and i need it replaced and my radiator fan(not a/c) isnt working. the fan itself works when hooked up to direct voltage so im guessing theres a short in the wire somewhere. as for the distributor i need to go to a junkyard and find one :-| im poor. n e ways would either of those have an effect on the performance of my engine at low RPM's ? bc thats where i lack my power.

 

well im sure the fan doesnt matter unless your car is overheating. Do you have a CEL on?

I would stop driving until you can fix those.. w/ the fan not coming on.. can't your car overheat and damage your motor? it wasnt on an integra.. but on a Camry I've seen the fan switch/relay die and the temp guage would slowly climb up to hot/red zone... I would get that fan fixed b4 you do any more racing w/ your friend and such.. check out the temp switch/relay...

as for the distributor.. either check out a junkyard or http://www.acuraautomotiveparts.net

whats a CEL and i think it is a switch/relay bc the fans fine. just gotta go through the wires i guess... and is there n e ways i can just get the sensor in the distributor?

 

CEL is the Check Engine Light
or MIL Malfunction indicator lamp.. u get the idea..
